This summer has been the summer of change for our little family. You see we moved from Vail into Tucson to be closer to family last month and moving is a HUGE undertaking. Especially with two little girls and a pooch with more toys than she knows what to do with!

Right around the time we were getting ready to move I started working with a wonderful graphic designer (see! more change!!), Ms. Brianna Venzke of Brianna Venzke Photography and Design based out of San Diego. She is an amazingly talented photographer as well as graphic designer. Check her out here. Anyway we started working together to develop my “brand”. To get my website looking more like “me” rather than a thrown together looking site. A site that I could call home, where I would WANT to blog. About three weeks after we moved into our new home Brianna informed me my site was ready! Yippee!! Awesome! But, I didn’t do anything.  We were moving, getting situated, and trying to find some sort of peace to sit and work was nearly impossible at that point. I need things orderly. I need things in their own place and boxes stacked up all around me was not conducive to working efficiently. So it took me a little while to get things done and still balance my work load. Still make my clients happy and deliver things in a timely manner.

But I FINALLY got it done about a week ago. The really awesome part about our new house is there is a space for me to WORK. A cute little room with awesome light all day long where I can store all of my props, parents can lounge and I can photograph their adorable little additions!

Then on the 16th my girls’ started back to school! In the Vail School District they go year round so we just finished our 8 week summer vacation. Little Miss Hailey started first grade and Miss Belle started two full days of preschool. This enables me actually get things done! WOW! I had no idea how much I could get done without two little munchkins under my feet! Our house is clean, our laundry is washed, folded AND put away (hahaha!!) and I am actually up to date on all of my sessions! Because both of the girls are in school I will be opening my home studio (by appointment only) to my newborn clients (and maybe first year sessions) for a pretty little discount on Tuesday and Thursday mornings 🙂 SO if you are having a baby anytime soon be sure to contact me about your session and where you might like it to take place! I will still be happy to travel to you. It is HARD being a new mom. Hard to look photo ready AND be somewhere on time. I get it! Trust me I do!

Meet sweet Samantha Quinn or “Sammy” for short, she was my first little newborn in my new space. I have to admit it was nice having everything set up and ready to go when she arrived. Everything was at arms reach and Momma even got some input on what she would like me to use! Not that Momma’s dont usually, but it was especially nice for things to be visible AND accessible!

Sammy came to see me in my new home studio in East Tucson at just 6 days old. She is quite possibly one of the squishiest babies I’ve ever been fortunate enough to work with. She was a dream baby and very easy going. I could expect as much Alison and Isaac are very laid back as well!

I look forward to watching little Sammy and Big sister Charlie grow up and blossom into beautiful young ladies!
