30 years and counting!

I get inquiries all the time that start with, I know you ONLY do newborns but I have this awesome senior, or fun engaged couple, etc. Ok ok, so while newborns are admittedly some of my most treasured sessions… Sometimes I get to photograph really special momentous events. I think being married and happily in love for THIRTY years is something pretty special! I am so honored that Carmen asked me to photograph her and her husband!

Also, I think they totally nailed it in the wardrobe department! Look at all that layering and visual interest! Carmen and I worked closely together to choose hip, modern, flattering, outfits! Then, Carmen hired blink beauty to do her hair and makeup! The girls at blink really know what they are doing when it comes to being photo ready!

Coronado Family

I say it over and over, but it is truly an honor to watch these families grow! I met Sara and Jose when they were pregnant with Alec. We instantly clicked and the rest is history! Now we have Alec and Mia and our sessions are so. much. fun. I have a special bond with these children that I was able to photograph as newborns, almost like a teacher has many many children. I feel like these are “my” kids too. I enjoy seeing their fun antics, milestones, and accomplishments on Facebook! But most importantly I love seeing them once a year (or more) to photograph their sweet little faces and growing personalities!

Peanut the Pup

If you know me you know that I love animals just as much as I love newborns and children! So when our sweet friend Brooke started fostering Peanut the tiniest puppy, you better believe I wrapped her up like a newborn and had an impromptu photoshoot for her in my studio! The funny thing is, after she was all wrapped up she dosed off to sleep. Not unlike a newborn after they are wrapped up tight!

I am happy to say, Peanut was a foster fail. If you can even call a foster a fail. Brooke was just far too smitten with her to let her go back to the shelter or on to another foster family and ended up adopting peanut shortly after these photos were taken!

Rynas Family

This family is very special to me, one of my longest photographed families. They’ve been with me since the very beginning of my business when I stumbled throughs sessions and fussed with my settings more than one should! But every year I adore watching these precious babies grow, change, and develop their own little personalities. I’ve been photographing this family since before middle brother was born. I’ve watched big sis grow into this funny, smart, kind, nurturing soul who dotes on both of her brothers. My job is so rewarding. Middle brother is spunky, sassy and his laughter is contagious. Little brother is such a sweet little (BIG!) guy! I can’t wait to see them again this year!
